Wine Folly: On Page 88 of Wine fully says that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most popular variety of wine in the world. This full bodied wine is usually high with tanins and pairs well with heavy meals such as steak. It has high bitterness, low sweetness, medium acidity and medium alcohol content.


My Review: Looking at this it has a deep red color. Off the nose I get a sweet flavor that has notes of plum and cherries. It has a very high tannin profile and dries out my mouth. For flavors I did get notes of bitterness like graphite and sour fruit flavor like raisins. Overall not my favorite cabernet sauvignon because I think it is too sweet.


Winemaker notes: It offers a complex nose with varietal notes of ripe, fruits, figs, prunes, jam , and raisins.

Mendoza is the region it is from and should have hints of mocha, red pepper flakes, and sweet tobacco. Malbecs from this region also receive minimal oak aging. My Review: This was my first time ever having a malbec and I thought it was delicious. I got notes of black berry and cocoa as well. I did not pair this with any food but if I would have I think it would pair well with a heavy porkchop or a light red meat due to its full body.
