Region of Origin: Tupungato Uco Valley, Mendoza

Price: $15.00


Wine Folly: Page 125 on Malbecs. I definitely get notes of Vanilla and Blackberry from this wine. I also taste a full bodied wine with very little sweetness which is a characteristic of Malbecs. Page 198 on Argentina. Argentina is a region known for Malbecs which is due to the high elevation that is great for growing Malbecs. Page 126 about Mendoza. Mendoza is the region it is from and should have hints of mocha, red pepper flakes, and sweet tobacco. Malbecs from this region also receive minimal oak aging.


My Review: This was my first time ever having a malbec and I thought it was delicious. I got notes of black berry and cocoa as well. I did not pair this with any food but if I would have I think it would pair well with a heavy porkchop or a light red meat due to its full body. I did not taste any oakiness but this is probably due to the fact that malbecs from mendoza are not aged in oak barrels for long.


Wine review online: James Suckling  said Blackberries and blueberries, graphite, iodine, sweet spices and dried blue flowers. Bright, juicy and generous on the palate with tight, smooth tannins. Drink or hold.

   Name: Simonet Brut Sparkling Wine Variety: Sparkling Chardonney Country or Origin: France Region of Origin: Alsace Price: $13.00 Wine Folly: Page 96 of wine folly says that sparkling chardonnays should have notes of yellow apple, star fruit, pineapple, butter and vanilla. It should have medium-low sweetness and medium high alcohol along with a medium-low body. My Review: I was a big fan of this sparkling chardonnay it is very good and one of my favorite wines we had. The bubbles add a nice texture and the high tannins and crisp flavors makes me feel like I'm sitting under a tree in the summer eating a tart green apple.     Name: Wild thing 2022 Rendezvous Rose Variety: Carignan Country or Origin: USA Region of Origin: Sonoma county california Price: $20.00 Wine Folly: Page 90 of wine folly says that it should have notes of cranberry, tobacco leaf, baking spices and cured meats My Review: I was a big fane of this rose it has high tannins along with subtle notes of fruit. I get lime flavors and other citrus notes through this wine. It is smooth and has a slight buttery finish as a swallow it. Wine review online: ight cranberry color, juicy strawberry-watermelon fruit aromas, nice mineral, nice lift of spring flowers and fresh zest from cara-cara oranges, tangy vanilla crème fraîche on strawberry shortcake! Refreshingly crisp and dry, mouth-watering actually. Great with almost any food, from sushi to salmon to BBQ!
