Wine Folly: On Page 150 of Wine fully says that pinot Noir is the most popular variety of light bodied red wine in the world. This light bodied red usually has notes of rasberry, cherry, clove, mushroom and vanilla. It has low tannins, high acidity, low sweetness. The most popular places this is grown in the United States are California and Oregon.
My Review: Looking at this it has a light red color with high clarity. Off the nose I get notes of citrus fruits. It has a low tannin profile and and finishes well. For flavors I did get notes of fruit like raspberries and blueberries.
overall I like this wine a lot and feel like it would pair well with a variety of foods. I imagine it would go well with a pan seared chicken breast.
Winemaker notes: Vivid notes of black raspberry, fresh pomegranate juice, with wild blueberry, sassafras, subtle licorice, toasted oak an earthy backbone, and grippy tannins.
