Name: 19 Crimes Cali Red(Snoop Dog) 2021 Variety: 65% Petite Sirah,30% Zinfandel, 5% Merlot(Red Blend) Country or Origin: USA Region of Origin: Sonoma California Price: $15 Wine Folly: Page 96 Chardonnay. Petite Sirah is known for deep colored reds with dark fruit flavors. With those characteristics it should be paired with heavy fatty meals. It should have notes of sugar plum, blueberry, black tea, dark chocolate, and black pepper. My Review: This wine is very sweet as soon as you taste it which make sense because it should have flavors of sugar plum. I do get notes of vanilla as described on the online review. But I feel like the sweetness overpowers the flavors and it takes away from the wine. It finishes with a very dry flavor which means it has a lot of tannins. After you swallow you are instantly hit with the tannins and then it leaves a sour flavor in my mouth that tastes like plastic. Overall not my favorite and definitely too sweet of a red wine for me.
